Road Movie directed by Dev Benegal. The star cast included Abhay Deol, Satish Kaushik, Tannishtha Chatterjee.
The Road Movie is described as thriller.
The story of Road, Movie weaves as such bored with his father's falling hair oil business, Vishnu(Abhay Deol) dreams of getting away to a life where he can call the shots. So he offers to drive an old beat-up Chevy truck which has to be delivered to a museum in the city. Along the way, he picks up a runway, a wandering old entertainerand a gypsy woman. Their journey turns dire when theyare waylaid by cops and a notorious waterlord. What's the way to avoid trouble? An eccentric collection of films and the two forty-year old film projectors in the back of the truck. How come??
The critics have rated Road, movie with 2 stars.
The remixed version of the classic song ‘ Tel Malish ’ is passable.As the film comes to an end, Abhay Deol indulges in a tel malish (head massage) act onscreen. One would need an equally stimulating tel malish on watching this garbled movie. This road leads to nowhere. It simply takes you for a ride.

My Name is Khan is directed by Karan Johar. The cast included Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Tanny Chheda, Zarina Wahab. A Good and Must watch for every Indian. Shahrukh-Kajol tuning on screen make them Best Onscreen couple. The Film has been rated with ***1/2.

Rizwan Khan(Tanay) has Asperger Syndrome (an autism spectrum disorder where the patient faces difficulty in interacting with people, along with repetitive manners of behaviour). He stays with his mom(Zarina) in Mumbai. Later, as an adult he moves to Sanfrancisco to live with his brother Zakir(Jimmy Shergil).A genius with machines should have been channeled in the appropriate direction, but Rizwan ends up being a salesman. But it is while selling beauty products that he meets future wife Mandira Rathod (Kajol) who is a single mom with a six-year-old boy Sameer (Yuwaan Makaar).And then, 9/11 happens. Attitudes towards Muslims and anybody with a beard and turban change.

He wants to meet Mr President and tell him, "My Name is Khan, and I am not a terrorist".But the film never loses focus on the 'Meet the President' track. You begin to travel with Rizwan on his quest. The film shows how and what makes Rizwan a hero from a terror suspect, with the help of media.

Shahid Azmi shot dead
Shahid Azmi was shot dead. Shahid Azmi was the lawyer of 26/11 accused Fahim Ansari. Shahid Azmi was shot dead on Thursday, 11 February at his office in suburban Kurla.
The Police reported that four men dashed into his office posing as clients in Taxi Men Colony in Kurla and shot two bullets into him at point blank range. Later, Azmi was taken to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar where he was declared dead. The culprits fled from the scene after the incident.
Earlier, Azmi had received threats. He was even attacked with sharp weapons outside his office which led to hospitalisation for some days.
Shahid, who was nephew of Samajwadi Party leader and Govandi MLA Abu Asim Azmi, had also appeared as defence counsel for the accused in July 11 Mumbai local train blasts.

Pramod Muthalik : blackened face
Leader of Sri Rama Sene Pramod Muthalik face was blackened by youths in Bangalore on 11 February. The face of Pramod Muthalik was blackened because of his opposition to Valentine's Day celebrations. Like the previous year, Muthalik was planning to marry off the people celebrating Valentine's Day on 14 February.
Pramod Muthalik was participating in a discussion organised by a Kannada TV channel on his outfit's opposition to Valentine's Day celebrations. Later, after discussion group of six people caught him painted his face black. Muthalik called these men as "goondas" and shouted for their punishment.
However, the Rama Sene has little support in Karnataka. But, Pramod Mutalik is always on the headlines by his threat to organise agitation on issues like conversion, cow slaughter, terrorism and on occasions like Valentine's Day.

Girish Puthenchery
Girish Puthenchery, famous Malayalam film lyricist died on Wednesday Feb 10, 2010. He is suffering from brain haemorrhage.
Girish Puthenchery started his career with the movie named "Enquiry" in 1990. He had written around 1700 songs in over 300 Malayalam films.
Girish Puthenchery won in the "Kerala State Film Awards" in 2004 for the Best lyricist for the movie Kathavasheshan. Similarly, Girish Puthenchery won the Best Lyricist Awads in the year 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1997, 1995 for the movies Gourisankaram, Nandanam, Ravanaprabhu,Punaradivasam, Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu, Agnidevan, respectively.
Girish Puthenchery also won in the "Asianet Film Awards" as the Best Lyricist Award for the movie Madambi in 2008. In 2006, for the movie Vadakumnadhan. In 2004 for the movie called Mambazhakalam.

Rathore attacked by Utsav sharma
Haryana's Former DGP SPS Rathore was attacked by a student named, Utsav Sharma of the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID) posing as a journalist, in Chandigarh.
When Rathore stepped out of the district court complex and was heading towards his car, Utsav caught him by the neck and in a split second stabbed him thrice with his pocket knife.
The condition of Rathore was stated to be stable. Rathore had gone to the court in connection with hearing of his appeal against the six-month sentence imposed on him in Ruchika molestation case.
Utsav Sharma, 29 years old, a resident of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested. Utsav is suffering from mood disorder syndrome and was undergoing treatment for a psychological problem in Ahemdabad. The motive seems to be only one behind the attack on Rathore that he seemed to be angry and got a feeling that justice has not been done to Ruchika. At the end, he should have not taken law into his hands.

Gulmarg: Heavy Snowfall
An accident occured in Gulmarg, a place called Khilanmarg which is a ski resort and a place for tourist attraction. The avalanche hit the Army's High Altitude Warfare School in northwest Kashmir, a rugged area at an altitude of 2,730 m (9,000 feet) near a military line.
Colonel J S Brar, an army spokesman and police said 15 men were buried in snow and 17 others were rescued and moved to base hospital at Srinagar. The dead included an officer, Lt Prateek, and 14 other ranks from the High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS). The avalanche came down on a 60-strong group as they were going up the sheer ice walls in Khilanmarg with near zero visibility. The meaning of Avalanche is a slide of large masses of snow and ice.
The weather forecast of Gulmarg and its surrounding areas is that they have been receiving unprecedented snowfall for the past two days around six feet of snow in certain areas. Heavy snow blocked Kashmir's main highway. Senior Police official A Q Manhas said "it is snowing heavily and there is fog. Weather is hampering rescue operations".

The District Plan of Hingoli has been approved by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The whole process was under the Multi- Sectoral Development Programme ( MsDP ) for the welfare of Minorities . Viveik Oberoi to appear on 'Dance India Dance Season 2'
Dance India Dance Mentor Geeta Kapoor looked upset on the DID2 show today. Geeta Kapoor said that she will make sure Dharmesh Sir returns to Dance India Dance Season 2 through a wild card entry. Meenu is also out of the show and Remo D'souza did not look happy about it.

I was totally overjoyed! She was one of the best dancers in the troop. And undeniably the most beautiful and sexiest one! And let me confess to the entire world, I had one of my biggest crush on Geeta Kapoor.” This means Aishwarya Rai wasn't Vivek Oberio's first crush ??? Kala Godha Arts Festival 6 Feb to 14 Feb 2010
Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2010 starting from 6th February to 14th february, in the Kala Ghoda area of South Mumbai, India. Kala Ghoda is a magnet for creative talent, artists, food connoisseurs, fashion designers, architecture buffs.
The Festival is organised by the Kala Ghoda Association (a non-profit organisation that states its objectives as "physically upgrading the Kala Ghoda sub-precinct and making it the Art District of Mumbai") and curated by teams handling each of the sub-festivals. It has been started in 1999, since then it has attracted visitors and participants from other parts of the world making it popular worldwide.
The sub-festivals feature the Visual Arts, events for Children, Food, Music, Literature, Heritage Walk, Theatre, Dance, Film and Street. Entry to all events is free to all.

Striker: Movie Review
Striker, bollywood movie filled with action and drama, directed by Chandan Arora. The Cast included Siddharth, Ankur Vikal, Vidya Malwade, Aditya Pancholi.
The Story revolves around Surya(Siddharth) who belongs to a poor family. Poor health keeps him away from school for several days, so he takes to Carrom. When he grows up, an overseas employment agency offers him a job, but it turns out to be a bogus deal. Surya seeks refuge in the only thing he knows well- carrom. Then he fights back for survival.
Chandan Arora's Striker presents a whole new meaning. It cries out aloud "Don't divide our city, all you goons, goondas, politicos and administrators" through its moving tale of two young lads -- one Hindu, one Muslim -- who try to lead a life of normalcy, despite the shadow of crime and communalism. Childhood buddies.
Director Chandan Arora has already proved his capability of directing different cinema with his earlier movies: Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon and Main, Meri Patni aur Woh. With Striker he continues to successfully strike out for new grounds.
The promos may seem gloomy but the movie has meaning and worth watching. The high point of the film is its authenticity, its heartwarming tale and its performances Of Siddharth, Aditya Pancholi, Ankur Vikal. The critics have rated with three stars.

RUHS Pre PG 2010 Result

Rahul Bhatt to be proned on LeT Headley Link
Rahul Bhatt, son of famous filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt admitted being friends with Headley but, in all probability, he didn’t knew Headley’s actual background. Rahul also helped Headley rent a flat near Breach Candy hospital. Rahul was not aware that Headley had links with LeT.
Rahul Bhatt's name appeared when David Headley in his July 8 email to his Pakistan-based handler (mentioned in the affidavit as LeT Member A) wrote while discussing terror plots in India: ‘‘I think when we get a chance we should revisit our last location again and say ‘hi' to Rahul.''
There is the suggestion that Rahul could be a good cover, as on the same day the LeT Member A replied to Headley saying ‘‘to see Rahul is a good idea because have some work for you over there too (Mumbai). Matters are good enough to move forward...'' The next day, Headley responded: ‘‘When you say move forward, do you mean in north direction or towards Rahul.'' The same day LeT Member A responded: ‘‘I mean towards Rahul.''
Rahul's name appeared in more such communication with the last one being recorded on July 10 when LeT leader said: ‘‘There are some investment plans with me, not exactly at Rahul's city but near that. Rest we can decide when meet according to your ease.''
A senior officer in the Union home ministry said Rahul would be questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) as he was an important link in the probe into Headley's long stay in Mumbai.
‘‘No one has been given a clean chit so far,'' said the official, adding the NIA is still to gather all details in order to ascertain whether or not Headley might have got some work done through Rahul.
The NIA, which has been mapping Headley's contacts by screening his acquaintances, cellphone and email records, will call Rahul for questioning to verify if they travelled “together or otherwise” in or outside Mumbai. ‘‘We will have to find out whether Headley had used Rahul, and if yes, how was he used, knowingly or unknowingly,'' said the official.

Keshav Murugesh was appointed as WNS, a BPO firm on Wednesday 3rd February as the Chief Executive Officer.
Keshav Murugesh, 46, a visionary to take over the post from Neeraj Bhargava. Earlier, Keshav was the CEO of Nasdaq listed Syntel Inc, a global provider of custom outsourcing solutions. Kirit Parikh : Hike in LPG prices
The Kirit Parikh Committee on Wednesday 3 February proposes raising LPG rates by Rs 100 a cylinder, while petrol may be expensive by Rs 4.72 a litre and kerosene by Rs 6 per litre.
The Kirit Parikh Committee also pointed the losses of state-run oil marketing companies at Rs.40,000 crore because of selling the transport fuels at below cost. And thus explained that" There is no way we can continue with the current pricing policy,"
The recommendations made by Kirit Parikh Committee may not be acceptable because of the high Inflation. There might be a consensus between ministries of finance and petroleum on freeing petrol prices.
The Petroleum Minister Murli Deora said that the report will be processed and will be put in before the government or the Cabinet in a week.

Vaishnavi Killed: Kidnapped girl’s charred body found in Guntur
Vaishnavi's body was found dead on Monday evening. Added to this, his father Palagani Prabhakara Rao, a top Andhra Pradesh Businessman died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday, after hearing the news of his daughter's killing who was abducted on Saturday by three unidentified men while she was on her way to school in a car. The car driver was stabbed to death. Vaishalnavi's 14 year old brother Sai Tejesh, who was in the car too, managed to escape. The kidnappers fled in the car with Naga Vaishnavi.
Police is suspecting that the kidnappers murdered Vaishnavi before throwing her into an electric boiler used to melt scrap to make bolts and nuts. Cochin Haneefa in critical condition
Famous Malayalam-Tamil actor Cochin Haneefa, who was recently hospitalized at Ramachandra Hospital Chennai due to liver problem, is in a very critical condition. According to sources, the actor also had a massive heart attack in the hospital. He is 69.
TV channels created a flutter when they aired incorrect information about the death of popular Malayalam film star Cochin Haneefa. The TV channels said Haneefa, aged 58 years, died at a private hospital in Chennai on Tuesday at noon. Soon condolences from Haneefa's colleagues started pouring in. The TV channels also started running clips of the popular films Haneefa acted in. But at 1 p.m., the channels said they regretted airing the news which they received from their sources in the hospital at Chennai where Haneefa is admitted. Salim Ahmed Ghoush better known by his stage name Cochin Haneefa (1951-2010) is an Indian film actor, director, and screenwriter. He started his career in the 1970's as a villaincomedians of Malayalam film industry became one of the most popular Malayalam comedians. He has done over 300 films in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi. In 2001, he won the best supporting actor award for his brilliant performance in Soothradharan. He was last seen in Siddique’s Dileep starrer Bodyguard.

Major fire at Hyderabad hospital - Park Hospital, 30 injured
A fire broke out in Hyderabad Super Speciality Hospital - Park Hospital in the busy Somajiguda area. The cause of the fire is yet to be know but people are speculating that short-circuit could be one of the reason of the Fire at Park Hospital. Many patients and their relatives/friends are believed to be trapped inside the super-speciality Park Hospital. Fire brigade and rescue teams have rushed to the Park Hospital. "The flames had been brought under control. The priority was to ensure that all those inside the hospital were rescued," a fire officer said.
According to latest reports, at least 30 people have injured after fire broke out in Park hospital and around six doctors and four patients have been injured but not critical, police said. The police officer also said eight patients were rescued from the Intensive Care Unit.

At the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (Monday morning in India), Rahman won the Grammy Awards for the best soundtrack and the best motion picture song.

16TH ANNUAL STAR SCREEN AWARD 2010
The 16th Annual Star Screen Award function was telecast on Star Plus today with some stunned performances from stars like Amitabh Bachchan on his forthcoming film Teen Patti. Salman Khan performed with the street children and was performance of the night which thirlled the audience. In a latest movement against the genetically modified crop, people from across the country gathered to observe a day-long fast, on Martyr's day, protesting against Bt Brinjal.
The entire nation must come together to stop insertion of genetic material that makes the brinjal plant produce Bt toxin thus to help protect India's seed and food sovereignty. Release of Bt Brinjal would be the beginning of the end of Indian agriculture.
The adverse impact of eating Bt Brinjal would be oblivious of the fact that they are feeding on poison. Most of the State are asking the Supreme Court to BT Brinjal as consumption of BT Brinjal leads to bad health. Dharmesh Sir -Dance India Dance Season 2
Dharmesh Sir from Master Geeta Kapur Gang's was eliminated from Zee TV Programme Dance India Dance Season 2 (DID2). Out of the current participants, most of them are the students of Dharmesh Sir and look at the irony the coach is out of the tournament but the students are still holding the pillar. Dharmesh Sir is one of the best dancer in the program who got eliminated today. Dharmesh Sir is from Vadodara, Gujarat

Drunken Woman "Nuriya Yusuf Haveliwala" rams Car into Vehicles in Mumbai
A drunken woman on her Honda CRV rammed her car into a police jeep and a bike at Marine Drive in south Mumbai. The accident took place late on Friday when Nuriya Yusuf Haveliwala, a beautician by profession, drove her Honda CRV into a of policemen, a motorcycle and a taxi injuring four constables, a sub-inspector and a civilian. The deceased were identified as Dinanath Shinde, an assistant sub-inspector with the traffic police, and biker Afzal Kanojia (35). Kanojia was declared dead at the G T Hospital. Medical tests on Nuriya Yusuf Haveliwala, a resident of Colaba in South Mumbai, confirmed presence of 457 ml of alcohol in her blood," a senior police official said. Nuriya has been arrested for rash and negligent driving as she was under the influence of alcohol in her blood.

Mumbai Milk Price Increase
Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar on Wednesday said the price of milk would increase as there is a scarcity of milk in north India. With this news, milk prices are increased in Mumbai effective today. Price of full cream is going to be increased by Rs 2 per litre and that of toned and double toned by Re 1 per litre. Milk Prices are increased due to the increase in the production cost of milk. Last month, Milk prices were increased in Delhi and now in Mumbai. Is it that subsequently the milk price in all the metros will be hiked eventually?The price increase mantra is now is becoming a very bigger issue for a common man as for the past 3-4 months, the monthly budget of a common man is already off the roof due to sky high pulse prices followed by sugar being sold at Rs 50 per kg across the country and now the basic necessity i.e. Milk being target.

Life for Haldiram Owner
Haldiram owner Prabhu Aggarwal was sentenced Life imprisonment. Today, the Kolkata Court gave the judgement of Life imprisonment to Snack King Haldiram Owner for plotting to kill Tea stall onwer. Along with him, four others were also sentenced life imprisonment.
All five were charged under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 120B (conspiracy) and 34 (common intention) for allegedly hiring out a contract, besides the Arms Act.
Agarwal hired a contract killer Gopal Tiwari in 2005 to dispose of the tea stall owner who had refused to remove the stall which was blocking the entrance of a large confectionary shop the businessman was about to open in the Burrabazar area of central Kolkata.

Cash Reserve Ratio Hike CRR
RBI warns inflation may rise. Reserve Bank Of India RBI accounted hike in food price to be the cause of Overall inflation and thus a signal for tighter monetary regime ahead. Economists and Analysts except Central Bank to raise the Cash Reserve ratio in the quarterly review by at least half a % point.Food Inflation stood at 16.81% leading to overall Inflation to 7.31% in December. The rise in food price is on a upward trail which in this week till January 16 rose to 17% fro 16.81% a week earlier.The price index of food items rose by 0.4% on a weekly basis due to rise in prices of eggs, vegetables, condiments ad spices, bajra and jowar. potato prices increased to 57.56% and pulses by 46.87%. Dals are still expensive. However, Sharad pawar assured sugar prices will come down surely. The dominance of food price inflation and uncertain recovery becomes a challenge. Central Bank revised the GDP growth rate to be 6.9%.

Pauper Satyam's Raju declared by US Court. Satyam Computers Chairman Ramalinga Raju and his brother Rama Raju , Satyam's former chief executive officer and Srinivas Vadlamani Satyam's former head of Finance were approved by US court as 'Pauper' status. The court explained that the defendants are unable to pay cost for attorney in the US to defend themselves. Raju was jailed in 2009 for falsifying worth over $1 billion satyam account.The IT company has since been taken over by Tech Mahindra.
