A drunken woman on her Honda CRV rammed her car into a police jeep and a bike at Marine Drive in south Mumbai. The accident took place late on Friday when Nuriya Yusuf Haveliwala, a beautician by profession, drove her Honda CRV into a of policemen, a motorcycle and a taxi injuring four constables, a sub-inspector and a civilian. The deceased were identified as Dinanath Shinde, an assistant sub-inspector with the traffic police, and biker Afzal Kanojia (35). Kanojia was declared dead at the G T Hospital. Medical tests on Nuriya Yusuf Haveliwala, a resident of Colaba in South Mumbai, confirmed presence of 457 ml of alcohol in her blood," a senior police official said. Nuriya has been arrested for rash and negligent driving as she was under the influence of alcohol in her blood.
