Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar on Wednesday said the price of milk would increase as there is a scarcity of milk in north India. With this news, milk prices are increased in Mumbai effective today. Price of full cream is going to be increased by Rs 2 per litre and that of toned and double toned by Re 1 per litre. Milk Prices are increased due to the increase in the production cost of milk. Last month, Milk prices were increased in Delhi and now in Mumbai. Is it that subsequently the milk price in all the metros will be hiked eventually?The price increase mantra is now is becoming a very bigger issue for a common man as for the past 3-4 months, the monthly budget of a common man is already off the roof due to sky high pulse prices followed by sugar being sold at Rs 50 per kg across the country and now the basic necessity i.e. Milk being target.
