Asal is releasing on 5th February, 2010.The cast included Ajith Kumar, Sameera Reddy, Rajiv Krishna, Cochin Haneefa. Asal is directed by Saran and music is given by Bharadwaj.
The movie is in news when Anbumani Ramadoss, the former Union Health & Family Welfare minister, raised slogans infront of Sangam Cinemas in the city seeking the ‘deletion of smoking sequences in the film’ or ‘banning the film’ altogether. In Asal stiils, Ajith Kumar is seen smoking and puffing a cigar. Actress Sameera Reddy is very excited for its release. She has several peppy numbers in it where the inherent dancer comes out of her.
