Symphony Marketing Solutions SMS : Genpact

Genpact Limited (NYSE: G), a leader in managing business processes for companies around the world, today announced the acquisition of Symphony Marketing Solutions, Inc. (SMS). A leading providerof analytics and data management services with deep domain expertise in the retail, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged good verticals. It was founded in November 2007, as a part of the Symphony Technology Group of companies, SMS has more than 1200 employees in India and the United States, and brings proven capabilities in high volume data management, processing, and reporting along with analytics solutions in these verticals.
The acquisition of SMS brings strong domain expertisein retail and consumer packaged goods industries and reinforces our leadership position in the analytics domain. This will help to open up these uner-penetrated verticals for Genpact's core offerings like F&A, Supply chain, Procurement and Analytics.
The Symphony Marketing Solutions also presents a unique opportunity to enter into a long term strategic relationship with its largest customer Information Resources Inc.(IRI), a leader in providing information solutions and insights to customers in the retail, CPG and pharmaceutical verticals. Genpact will leverage it's gobal delivery footprint, breadth of services, six sigma,process and domain expertise to deliver significant value to IRI and SMS customers, and Genpact our clients.
The Symphony Marketing Solutions business unit will continue to be led by Mahinder Mathrani, SMS President & COO, who will be joining Genpact's management team, reporting to Tiger. Mahinder brings over 30+ years of business experience with over 20 years of analytics experience and insights in CPG, FMCG and retail industries, and is a valuable addition to the Genpact leadership Team.
