Hingoli: Minority Benefits

The District Plan of Hingoli has been approved by the Ministry of Minority Affairs. The whole process was under the Multi- Sectoral Development Programme ( MsDP ) for the welfare of Minorities . The approval of the District Plan of Hingoli, further leads to approval of the District Plans of all the 4 Minority Concentration Districts (MCDs) of Maharashtra which as aresult goes to 14. And Under Multi- Sectoral Development Programme (MSDP) goes up to 77.
The history of Hingoli speaks that it was Nizam's military base on the borders of Vidrabha. During that period it was active centre of hospitals, veterinary hospitals and its military base make it an important place of the Hyderabad state.
Post Independence in 1956, when the state were reconstructed Marathwada was attached to Mumbai State and in 1960 Hingoli became part of the Maharashtra State as part of Parbhani district. Later on 1st May 1999 Hingoli district came in to existence by division of Parbhani. Latitude Of Hingoli District is 19.43 N and Longitude is 77.11 E.


Hingoli consists of two sub divisions namely Hingoli & Basmath and five Talukas namely Hingoli, Basmath, Kalamnuri, Aundha Nagnath & Sengaon. The Biggest Railway Station is Parbhani which is connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Banglore, Hyderabad by direct train. The Nearest Airport is Aurangabad.The famous Tourist Places in Hingoli included Aundha-Nagnath , Mallinath Digambar Jain Temple, Tulajadevi Sansthan, Sant Namdev Sansthan.
